Twenty-four years ago, this week, I successfully defended my thesis and left graduate school with a hope and a prayer. I had a clear vision of what I wanted, but no clue how to achieve it. In high school I knew I wanted to be a Biomedical Engineer and as a College Senior, I knew I wanted to be a Rehabilitation Engineer. My goal was to serve individuals with disabilities through technology and design. From visiting my quadriplegic grandfather at the VA to my code-laden graduate design project to now, I’ve never given up on that mission. Here’s to 24 more years.
